Autism assessments

Support Beyond Diagnosis

What to Expect

Autism Assessments and pre and post diagnosis support

We provide thorough and compassionate autism assessments using the gold-standard ADOS-2 and ADI-R tools. All assessments adhere to NICE guidelines and are conducted by a multidisciplinary team of experienced professionals, including a social worker, speech and language therapist, mental health nurse and clinical psychologist. Our team combines clinical expertise with lived experience, ensuring assessments are sensitive, respectful, and supportive for both individuals and families. As one of the most affordable autism assessment providers in Oxfordshire, we are committed to offering ethical and accessible services so that families can receive timely support when it is most needed.

The assessment process begins with screening questionnaires completed by the individual, parents, and educators, followed by a parent or caregiver interview to gather detailed developmental and contextual information. This is followed by a face-to-face assessment and a feedback meeting to discuss findings. A comprehensive diagnostic report is then provided, offering clear guidance and recommendations.

Pre- and post-diagnostic support is available, including direct talking sessions or Drawing and Talking Therapy. This support helps children understand and integrate their diagnosis as part of their identity, fostering self-awareness, confidence, and emotional wellbeing.
